Lingopal Icelandic - talking phrasebook App Reviews

Im going on a trip to iceland and was excited by this app because it seemed useful and fun. Requirements? compatible with iPod touch. Check. Alrighty, downloaded, spent my money. THEN I get told that no, the page lied, its NOT compatible with my iPod. Thanks LingoPal for stealing my money and getting my hopes up.

This is a very good app.. (It worked fine on my ipod touch). Some of the audio files dont play, though :(

If your going to Iceland u might be able to say a few things but it doesnt explain the strange letters they use, the voice is very unclear, and you certainly couldnt have a conversation, phrases are very specific and you wouldnt know anything you were asked by a real person, just how to respond if you did manage to understand what another person said.

This app is hilarious. It provides you with useful phrases and it also provides you with the cheesiest gay pick up lines. I love it. Lol

Its great, if the search actually worked to look up single words or custom phrases that would make it 5stars

Very useful, but needs more food words. Also the feature to look up new words never works.

This bug is supposedly fixed, but I have no sound. Limits intended use. For 99 cents, I probably expected too much ...

Considering how few resources there are for Icelandic, this app is well worth the asking price. It has enough content to get by on if youre planning a trip, or just starting the language. Not as useful to those looking to become fluent, but a good starting point. One thing I do really like is the edit and add features, which allow you to manually add new words not in the app.
